Hugh Hanley teaches Circle of Songs (www.hughhanley.com) music classes once per month for each preschool class at Sunny Hill. It is the goal of our music program to provide children with proper modeling and early exposure to an active, participatory musical experience can help children establish a foundation of expressive, receptive and creative music skills that a child can build upon throughout life. The development of these music skills also assists and enhances the child's cognitive, social, and emotional development. The program incorporates a wide and varied repertoire of songs, fingerplays, and music activities that are appropriate, accessible, and highly engaging. Hugh has learned all of the material he uses in his work from folk traditions, children, and their teachers and parents.
